Giftedness is a much discussed yet often misunderstood area of education. Within the Barker Community, we seek to support and celebrate giftedness across multiple domains. This seminar will provide both an overview of gifted education theory and the opportunity to see its practical application within the Barker community. An expert panel will discuss the characteristics of giftedness and provisions put in place to cater to the needs of gifted students at Barker. Barker’s music program, STEM initiatives and support for high performing athletes will also be showcased.

The event relates to giftedness across all grades and stages, from PreK to Year 12, so all are invited to this special event held in the The Piazza, Barker College Junior School.
