The Barker College Wellbeing Team have invited David and Katie Kobler of YourChoicez to present an online webinar designed to facilitate conversations amongst Year 10 families. This online event is part of the School's education program of respectful relationships where all students, and all community members, learn to live and thrive together. The week before this event (on September 20) David and Katie from YourChoicez will be running and in-person seminar with the Year 10 students, and so this online event is a great way for the family unit to respond to the helpful guidance from the experts.

The external facilitators will provide age-appropriate and engaging stimulus directly into Barker family homes to support conversations between Year 10 students and their parents on various topics to do with respectful relationships. These include healthy friendships, pornography, consent, sexual decision-making, ethics, love, and dating. Additionally, we’ll delve into the Relationships Traffic Light System, helping you identify healthy and unhealthy aspects of relationships.

These can be difficult topics to navigate but are essential in helping young people to develop healthy relationships benefiting both themselves and those around them.

More details from YourChoicez can be found in their flyer.

Questions can be directed to Lisa Chalmers, Director of Health and Wellbeing at Barker College.

RSVP below to have the webinar link emailed to you directly the day before the event.
