KaMana is a program designed to educate all families, athletes and friends, to support an empower female athletes to build confidence so they can reach their potential in sport and life.

This topic is not spoken enough about. It’s important for athletes at any level to have a solid understanding of the impacts of the menstrual cycle.

In this workshop we will explore:

  • Understanding female physiology
  • What it means to be a healthy athlete
  • Understanding the menstrual cycle
  • Tracking cycling and using this to support training, performance and recovery
  • Tips for training in different phases of the cycle
  • A combination of Harriet's experience as an Exercise Physiologist and our stories of navigating being a female athlete

Through the workshop, students (and families) have the opportunity to:

  • Hear experiences from elite female athletes
  • Discuss the truths about being a female athlete, the struggles, how to navigate them and how to be kinder to yourself along the way
  • Build self-confidence to pursue their goals
