During the Junior School years, academic growth is vital. Barker provides bespoke opportunities for all children to be challenged and cared for academically based on their unique learning needs. This session will inform parents about how Barker College Junior School teachers use data to inform their teaching and demonstrate to parents what is required to ensure students meet their zone of proximal development. There will be an emphasis on how parents can help their child throughout their learning journey.

Themes for the night will include:

- Students as diverse learners and recognising individual needs

- What can be done with data

- The academic curriculum, particularly how it is planned, taught, and assessed

- Encouragements for parents - how parents can help support their children as part of the home journey alongside the Junior School learning journey.

Come to the Junior School Pizza and meet the new Director of Teaching and Learning (PK to Year 6), Corinne Harrington, and ask your questions about the learning journey in the Barker College Junior School.

This event is suitable for parents, not students.
