Increasingly students (and families) are uncertain about the world that young people today will be inhabiting and shaping. Some predict the rise of AI producing a revolution that fundamentally changes what it means to live and to work. Career planning can feel particularly difficult for those finishing high school in the 2020s and 2030s. The Barker Institute and Barker Careers are proud to be partnering with Barker Futurist-in-Residence Anders Sörman-Nilsson to ensure students and families are prepared for whatever is to come. Attendees will hear bold predictions for life in the coming decades, an exploration of the role of education, and what the essential skills and traits will be for flourishing in this unknown future.

Due to the high-profile nature of our guest speaker, registration is essential. Family and friends beyond the immediate Barker community are also warmly welcome to attend.
